Alice
Receptionist and Hygiene Scheduler
Alice is the first smiling face you will see when you walk in the door at Huggins Dental. Alice is a South Carolina native, but she spent her high school and college years in Lakeland, Florida. Shortly afterwards, she moved back to the upstate and has called Greenville home for over 20 years. From her first position in the working world until today, Alice has always focused on customer service and getting to know her customers in order to serve them in the best way possible. She believes wholeheartedly that building relationships is the best part of any position. Home adventures include home projects and gardening with her husband Scott. They are devoted to their family and their role as the “fun” great aunt and great uncle!
Christina
Insurance and financial coordinator
Christina is our insurance and financial coordinator at Huggins Dental. She will do everything she can to help you understand your treatment costs and how you can use your insurance benefits to help pay for your treatment needs. She has a passion for the dental field. It brings her much happiness to see the confidence patients gain when their smiles are transformed. She was born and raised in Cookeville, TN and moved to Travelers Rest, SC in February of 2021 along with her 3 children. She is happily married to her husband Jason. Together they have 4 children, Kyleigh, LaShea, Ryker, and Noah. In her free time, she enjoys church, time with family, outdoors, and traveling.
Gretchen
Treatment Coordinator
Gretchen moved to the Greenville area over 20 years ago. During her own dental journey in 2013, her dentist asked her if she would join his team. With no dental knowledge, she dedicated herself to learning and understanding all aspects of her new role. Gretchen has a wide range of experience in office administration. In her current role as Treatment Coordinator, she excels in helping patients understand their treatment needs. Gretchen’s compassion for each and every patient has helped her to be successful in this role. Gretchen has been married to her husband Michael since 2019 and together they have a blended family of 3 beautiful children, 2 grandchildren and 5 fur babies. When Gretchen is not at work, she enjoys her role as mom and Gigi. This includes supporting her children at sporting events, playing with her grandchildren or glamping with her husband.
Amber
Dental Hygienist
Amber was born and raised in Summerfield, North Carolina. She went to UNC Chapel Hill and earned her Bachelor’s degree in Global Health in 2020. She continued her education by earning her Dental Hygiene degree from the Adam’s School of Dentistry at UNC. During her time there, she enjoyed working as the coordinator of the Student Health Action Coalition clinic and graduated in 2022. Amber moved to Greenville in 2023. She finds joy in making genuine connections with her patients, making them feel at ease, and seeing them become more confident in their smile. Outside of the dental office, Amber enjoys exploring new places and cuisines, going on long walks or runs, and spending time with family/friends.
Patti
Dental Hygienist
Patti graduated from Bergan Community College in NJ with an applied science degree in Dental Hygiene with expanded functions in 1988. She has vast experience in dentistry including General Family Dentistry, Pediatrics, Periodontal, Implant, Laser, and Post Surgical Therapy. She loves giving her patient an experience that is relaxing and educational while building relationships and working together to achieve the highest level of dental and ultimately physical health. She started dating her big sister’s friend Jim right after college graduation. They got married in 1991 and headed to Greenville SC in 1992 to start a new life. Patti and Jim have 5 children together, 2 of which are adopted locally from DSS. All 5 needed braces! Yikes! Patti has also recently become a grandma!!! She has one fur baby (a grey Weimaraner) and 8 chickens. Her passion is her faith and her family. She also loves to walk, hike, travel, read, and just enjoy the people around her.
Becca
Dental Hygienist
Originally from a small town in Pennsylvania, Becca decided that she wanted to be a dental hygienist at age 15. She began her dental journey in the United States Air Force in 1999. While living in San Antonio and Austin, she enjoyed dental assisting, dental hygiene, and honor guard duties at Randolph AFB. After serving four years in Texas, she was able to feed her love for travel while stationed overseas at RAF Lakenheath, England. Becca moved to Greenville in 2008 while pursuing her degree in Dental Hygiene and shortly after met her husband Billy. Together, they love to spend time camping and traveling with their pets. Living near downtown Greenville gives them the opportunity to enjoy local theater and dining. Becca’s passion for oral health education is easy to see. She loves to offer the best tips and tricks to help each patient reach their optimal oral and systemic health.
Christy
Dental Assistant
Christy is an Expanded Duty Dental Assistant that graduated from Greenville Technical College in 2003. Throughout her years in dental, her favorite thing is to see patients smile. She is a bit of a jokester which helps keep the mood light and comfortable. It is most important for her to ensure that patients leave with confidence, knowledge and the feel of a “family” environment. Christy strives to make sure that your visit with us is a comfortable one that will make you feel at ease. While not at the office, Christy enjoys spending weekends with her husband Mark to whom she has been married to since 2018. Together, they have two “fur children” Bebe and Riggs who love going on trail walks and Jeep Rides! Christy looks forward to meeting you and getting to know you through your dental journey!

Ariel Appleby, RN
Aesthetic Nurse Injector
Ariel grew up in the Greenville area and received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Liberty University in 2008. She has been a practicing nurse for the last 13 years and loves working with people. She has always had a passion for skin care and facial aesthetics and loves combining her nursing background with aesthetics to help clients achieve their goals. Ariel received her training from the American Academy of Facial Esthetics and is certified in Botox and fillers. She loves working with and getting to know her clients individually and helping them feel comfortable with these procedures. She believes that everyone is perfectly unique and wants to help them feel comfortable and knowledgeable throughout the process! Ariel is married to her high school sweetheart and together they have 2 daughters. In her free time, Ariel enjoys just being outside with her family & friends, reading, having quality conversations over a good cup of coffee, and exploring local shops & restaurants!
